UCD Advanced Planning Studio Final Concept Plan Summaries On Tuesday, May 13, 2006, the final concept plans
from the four student groups at the Collage of Architecture and Planning's
Advanced Planning Studio were presented before a good crowd at the
Wellington Webb Municipal Office Building. The four concept plan summaries
presented below represent just a sampling of the many graphics and diagrams
presented by the students on May 13th. The students' work represents an important step in furthering public dialog about the design of the future public spaces at Union Station and encouraging the public to join Union Station Advocates in pressing for excellence in the design and management of the public realm at Union Station.
UCD Advanced Planning Studio Workshop Summary Report On Thursday, March 6, 2008, the students in the Advanced Urban Design Studio at the University of Colorado Denver College of Architecture and Planning held a public workshop at the Oxford Hotel to solicit public input regarding the vision, uses, design, and management of Union Station's public spaces. Over 120 members of the public attended, and the event was covered by several media outlets. The following report prepared by the students summarizes the public feedback received at the workshop. 2008 Union Station Master Plan Supplement (Draft) Published March 2008, the document below is the draft supplement to the original Union Station Master Plan which was published in 2004. The supplement updates the master plan to reflect the revisions to the transportation component and other aspects of the project that have changed since 2004. The supplement has been divided into five sections. Each document is in Adobe PDF format. Placemaking Workshop Report Published August 2005, this document provides a vision for the Plaza surrounding Union Station. A public workshop was held to elicit ideas that will result in a vibrant and attractive new public space that also supports the practical functions of the transportation facility and planned development as laid out in the Denver Union Station Master Plan. 2004 Denver Union Station Master Plan Approved by the City of Denver and its Union Station redevelopment partners in 2004, the original Union Station Master Plan established the vision and framework for the station's revitalization and incorporation as the centerpiece of the city's multi-modal transportation hub.
